The morning morality effect: bad sleep - more lies.

Strange as it sounds, but according to findings published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, people are more prone to tell lies in the afternoon. Really? Well, let's get this sorted out, guys.

The ‘morning morality effect’ means that when you wake up you are more honest with yourself and those around you. And your morals slip as your day progresses. According to statistics, the majority of people are 20-50% more likely to become dishonest in the afternoon. The reason for your lies is simple – it's all because you get tired. The less energy you have, the harder it is for you to stay ethical.

Another study showed that night owls are not included in this percentage of people, as they remain ethical after lunch, all due to the fact that they feel more rested in the afternoon. What about you? Did you catch yourself in a lie in the afternoon or not?
